First cryptocurrency portfolio, initial allocation, portfolio screenshot, and early performance review.
This week I opened my first cryptocurrency portfolio with an initial investment of $200.00. The purpose of this project is to learn cryptocurrency markets through real-world investing, portfolio tracking, weekly performance review, and risk analysis.
| Asset | Value | Amount Owned | Last Price | Total Return |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | $49.14 | 0.0007997 BTC | $61,450.48 | -$0.8581 / -1.72% |
| Chainlink (LINK) | $97.75 | 12.70756502 LINK | $7.69 | -$2.25 / -2.25% |
| Dogecoin (DOGE) | $24.41 | 331.3 DOGE | $0.0737 | -$0.5849 / -2.34% |
| Stellar Lumens (XLM) | $24.58 | 124.8325091 XLM | $0.1969 | -$0.4193 / -1.68% |
This first week helped me understand the difference between daily return and all-time return. Even though the portfolio had a positive 1-day return, the total portfolio return was still negative. This shows how cryptocurrency prices can move quickly in the short term while the full portfolio remains affected by purchase price, trading spread, and market volatility.
This project is not intended as financial advice. It is a personal investment research journal designed to document my learning process, market observations, portfolio performance, and risk-management thinking over time.
